Epson print head docking
station
A common question we are asked often
is where is the Epson print head docking station. The docking station is located
on the left side of the printer directly under the print head. This is the
location where the print head comes to rest when the printer is not in use
whether on or off. The docking station serves several purposes, first to
keep the print head sealed from the outside air to prevent drying at the
nozzles, ultimately plugging them. The docking station is also the place
where the print head has ink pulled from it using a vacuum from under the
docking station to do a cleaning cycle. The docking station is held in
place with very sensitive springs and should never be tampered with. It is
the location where you can apply 5 to 10 drops of Print Head Clog Buster
if you have plugged nozzles.
